The term 'Patriotic Org.' can refer to four different organizations: the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Children of the American Revolution (CAR), the Daughters of the Confederacy (DAC), and the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). The Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage-based membership organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States' struggle for independence. The Children of the American Revolution is a similar organization, but for people under the age of 21. The Daughters of the Confederacy is an organization for female descendants of Confederate soldiers. Finally, the Sons of the American Revolution is an organization for male descendants of those who fought in the Revolutionary War.
