The Numbers, which is part of the Pentateuch, is the fourth book of the Hebrew Bible. It is a book of laws and regulations given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. It contains a detailed account of the Israelites' journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, as well as instructions for the proper observance of religious ceremonies and festivals. The Numbers also includes a census of the Israelite people and a list of their tribal divisions.
