Galloway is a region in the southwest of Scotland, bordered by the Irish Sea to the west and the River Nith to the east. It is part of the historic county of Dumfries and Galloway and is home to a number of towns and villages. The area is known for its stunning landscapes, including the Galloway Hills and the Galloway Forest Park. It is also home to a number of castles, including Threave Castle and Caerlaverock Castle.
