A parish leader is a religious figure who is responsible for the spiritual guidance of a congregation. The four most common titles for this role are CURATE, RECTOR, VICAR, and PASTOR. A CURATE is an assistant to a RECTOR or VICAR and is responsible for pastoral care and other duties. A RECTOR is a priest in charge of a parish and its church. A VICAR is a priest appointed to a church or parish by a bishop. Finally, a PASTOR is a minister in charge of a church or congregation.
