Parasailing, also known as parascending or gliding, is an activity in which a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a parachute-like canopy. The canopy, or parasail, is connected to the boat by a tow rope and the person is suspended beneath it. The person can control the speed and direction of the parasail by adjusting the angle of the canopy. It is a popular recreational activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
