Jacques Tati was a French pantomimist, actor, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his comedic films, which often featured slapstick humor and visual gags. He was also known for his use of mime and physical comedy. He was nominated for four Academy Awards and won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 1958.
