Jared Leto is an American actor, singer, songwriter, and director. He is best known for his role as Jordan Catalano in the television series My So-Called Life, and for his roles in films such as Requiem for a Dream, Panic Room, and Dallas Buyers Club, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also starred in the thriller film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Leto is also the lead vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and main songwriter of Thirty Seconds to Mars, a band he formed in 1998 in Los Angeles, California.
