PAN ALLEY is a term used to refer to the collection of music publishers, songwriters, and composers located in New York City's West 28th Street between Fifth Avenue and Broadway. The term was coined in the late 19th century, when the area was known for its many music publishers. The term TIN is an acronym for 'Tune In, New York', which was a popular radio show broadcast from the area in the 1930s.
