Paolo Uccello, also known as Paolo di Dono, was an Italian painter from the early Renaissance period. He is best known for his pioneering work in linear perspective and his use of geometric forms in his paintings. He is also remembered for his works depicting the Battle of San Romano and the Funeral of St. Jerome. He was a major influence on later painters such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
