The term 'Out of Africa Author' refers to the Danish author Isak Dinesen, who wrote under the pen name Isak Dinesen. She is best known for her 1937 memoir Out of Africa, which recounts her experiences living in British East Africa (now Kenya) from 1914 to 1931. Dinesen was a prolific writer, and her works have been translated into more than 50 languages. She was also a recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957.
