Phil Everly was one of the two brothers who made up the popular American rock and roll duo, The Everly Brothers. Phil and his brother Don were both born in Iowa and began their musical career in the 1950s. They had a string of hits throughout the decade, including 'Bye Bye Love' and 'Wake Up Little Susie'. Phil was the lead singer on many of their songs and also played guitar. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 74.
