Olympic Fencing Event is an event that has been part of the Olympic Games since 1896. It consists of three different fencing events: foil, epee, and sabre. Épee is a French word meaning 'SWORD' and is the heaviest and longest of the three weapons used in Olympic Fencing Event. It is a point-thrusting weapon and is the only one of the three weapons that allows for simultaneous attacks from both fencers.
