The Old Kingdom of Spain was a medieval kingdom that existed from 1035 to 1479. It was ruled by the House of Aragon, which was a royal house of the Crown of Aragon. The Crown of Aragon was a composite monarchy, which included territories in what is now Spain, Italy, France, and Greece. The House of Aragon was founded by Ramiro I of Aragon in 1035 and lasted until the death of Ferdinand II of Aragon in 1479.
