Old communication systems refer to the methods of communication used before the invention of modern technology. The two most common old communication systems are the TELEGRAPH and the teletype. The TELEGRAPH was invented in 1837 and used an electrical current to send messages over long distances. The teletype was invented in 1928 and used a typewriter-like machine to send messages over telephone lines. Both of these systems were widely used until the invention of the internet and other modern communication technologies.
