Old Cambodian leader Lon Nol was the Prime Minister and later President of Cambodia from 1970 to 1975. He led a coup against Prince Norodom Sihanouk and declared himself head of state. During his rule, he faced a civil war with the Khmer Rouge and was eventually overthrown by them in 1975.
