Ivor Novello was a Welsh actor, composer, and playwright who was active in the early 20th century. He is best known for his acting roles in films such as The Lodger (1927) and The Rat (1925). He also wrote several plays and musicals, including Glamorous Night (1935) and King's Rhapsody (1949). He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1952 for his services to the theatre.
