Philip Roth is an American novelist who is best known for his works of fiction, such as 'Goodbye, Columbus' and 'Portnoy's Complaint'. He has won numerous awards, including two National Book Awards and two PEN/Faulkner Awards. Roth was also a Pulitzer Prize finalist three times. His works often explore themes of Jewish identity, American culture, and sexuality. Roth passed away in 2018 at the age of 85.
