Anna Quindlen is an American novelist, journalist, and opinion columnist. She is best known for her novel One True Thing, which was adapted into a feature film in 1998. Quindlen has written several other novels, including Blessings, Rise and Shine, and Every Last One. She has also written several non-fiction books, including A Short Guide to a Happy Life and Being Perfect. Quindlen has won numerous awards for her writing, including the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1992.
