Liam O'Flaherty was an Irish novelist and short story writer. He is best known for his works such as The Informer, The Sniper, and The Black Soul. He was born in 1887 in Inishmore, County Galway, Ireland and died in 1984. He was a member of the Irish Republican Army and fought in the Irish Civil War. He wrote about the struggles of the Irish people and their fight for independence. His works are still widely read today.
