Thomas Paine was a noted colonial pamphleteer who wrote extensively during the American Revolution. He is best known for his pamphlet Common Sense, which argued for American independence from Britain. His other works include The Rights of Man, The Age of Reason, and Agrarian Justice. Paine's writings were influential in the formation of the United States and he is considered one of the Founding Fathers.
