Henrik Ibsen was a Norwegian playwright who is widely regarded as one of the greatest playwrights in the history of theatre. He wrote a number of plays that are still performed today, including A Doll's House, Hedda Gabler, and The Wild Duck. He is also known for his use of symbolism and social commentary in his works. Ibsen was born in 1828 and died in 1906. He is considered to be the father of modern drama and his works have been translated into more than 50 languages.
