He is best known for his plays such as A Doll's House, Hedda Gabler, and The Wild Duck. His works are considered to be some of the most important contributions to modern theatre and literature. Ibsen was born in Skien, Norway in 1828 and died in 1906. He wrote over 50 plays and numerous poems, short stories, and novels.
