Norse poems, also known as EDDAS, are a collection of ancient Icelandic and Scandinavian poems written in the 13th century. They are composed of two distinct parts: the Poetic Edda and the Prose Edda. The Poetic Edda is a collection of mythological and heroic poems, while the Prose Edda is a handbook of poetics for skaldic poetry. Both parts of the EDDAS provide insight into Norse mythology and culture.
