Octavio Paz was a Mexican poet, essayist, and Nobel Laureate in Literature. He was born in 1914 and died in 1998. He is best known for his work in the literary field, which earned him the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1990. Paz was also a diplomat, serving as Mexico's ambassador to India from 1962 to 1968. He was a prolific writer, publishing more than 30 books of poetry, essays, and criticism. His most famous works include The Labyrinth of Solitude, Sunstone, and The Collected Poems of Octavio Paz.
