The NL Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens, New York City. It is the home of the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). The stadium was originally named Shea Stadium after William A. Shea, the man who was instrumental in bringing National League baseball back to New York. The stadium was opened in 1964 and was the home of the Mets until 2009 when it was replaced by Citi Field.
