Elie Wiesel was a Romanian-born Jewish writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate, and Holocaust survivor. He is best known for his book Night, an autobiographical account of his experiences in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. Wiesel was also a prolific night writer, producing more than 40 works of fiction and non-fiction. His works are widely acclaimed for their moral and spiritual depth, and he is considered one of the most influential writers of the 20th century.
