Night Writer is a term used to describe the work of Elie Wiesel, a Jewish-American writer, political activist, and Nobel Laureate. Wiesel is best known for his memoir Night, which recounts his experiences during the Holocaust. He was born in Romania in 1928 and survived the Auschwitz concentration camp. Wiesel's works have been translated into more than 30 languages and he has received numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.
