The Nigerian capital is a two-part answer. The first part is Lagos, which is the most populous city in Nigeria and the second largest city in Africa. It is located on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea and is the economic and financial center of the country. The second part is ABUJA, which is the federal capital of Nigeria and was built in the 1980s to replace Lagos as the capital. It is located in the center of the country and is home to many government buildings and embassies.
