The New York Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens. It is the home of the New York Mets of Major League Baseball and was originally known as William A. Shea Municipal Stadium, named after the former New York City lawyer who was instrumental in bringing National League baseball back to the city in the form of the Mets.
