New York Natives refers to the three Native American tribes that have historically inhabited the state of New York: the Senecas, Oneidas, and Eries. The Senecas are a member of the Iroquois Confederacy, and their traditional homeland is in western and central New York. The Oneidas are also a member of the Iroquois Confederacy, and their traditional homeland is in central New York. The Eries were a tribe of the Iroquoian language family, and their traditional homeland was in western New York.
