New York Bay Island is a group of islands located in the New York Harbor, including Ellis Island, Staten Island, and MANHATTAN Island. Ellis Island is the most well-known of the three, as it was the main entry point for immigrants to the United States from 1892 to 1954. Staten Island is the southernmost of the three islands and is the least populated of the five boroughs of New York City. MANHATTAN Island is the most densely populated of the three islands and is home to many of the city's iconic landmarks.
