NERDY TYPES can refer to two different types of people: DWEEBS and GEEKS. DWEEBS are people who are socially awkward, often lacking in self-confidence, and tend to be overly studious. GEEKS, on the other hand, are people who are highly knowledgeable and passionate about a particular subject or hobby, often to the point of obsession. Both terms are often used in a derogatory manner, but have recently been embraced by many as a badge of honor.
