Native American language is a broad term that encompasses many different languages spoken by indigenous people in the Americas. Two examples of Native American languages are CREE and SIOUAN. CREE is an Algonquian language spoken by approximately 117, 000 people in Canada and the United States. SIOUAN is a language family that includes several languages spoken by Native Americans in the Great Plains region of the United States and Canada.
