Native American groups, also known as tribes, are distinct cultural and political entities that have been living in North America for thousands of years. Two examples of Native American groups are the SIOUX and the TRIBE. The SIOUX are a large Native American nation originally located in the Great Lakes region and now primarily located in the Dakotas. The TRIBE is a collective term used to refer to many different Native American nations, including the Apache, Cherokee, Choctaw, and Seminole.
