Native Alaskans are the indigenous people of Alaska, and consist of two main groups: Inuits and Aleuts. Inuits are an Arctic people who inhabit the northernmost parts of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and Russia. They are traditionally hunter-gatherers and have adapted to the extreme cold climate of the Arctic. Aleuts are a group of Indigenous people who inhabit the Aleutian Islands and the Pribilof Islands in Alaska. They are traditionally fishermen and hunters, and have adapted to the harsh environment of the islands.
