National Poetry Month is an annual celebration of poetry that takes place in APRIL. It was established in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. During National Poetry Month, poets, publishers, booksellers, librarians, teachers, students, and other literary organizations come together to celebrate poetry and its vital place in our culture.
