The term NASA MOONCRAFT is a reference to the Apollo Lunar Module (LEM), which was a spacecraft used by the United States during the Apollo program to land astronauts on the Moon. The LEM was designed and built by the Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation and was the first spacecraft to land humans on the Moon. It was launched from the Saturn V rocket and was the only part of the Apollo spacecraft that returned to Earth.
