Mythological hunter is a term used to describe two characters from Greek mythology: ORION and Actaeon. ORION was a giant huntsman who was said to be the son of Poseidon, the god of the sea. He was known for his great strength and skill in hunting. Actaeon was a prince of Thebes who was turned into a stag by the goddess Artemis after he stumbled upon her bathing in a pool. He was then hunted and killed by his own hounds. Both ORION and Actaeon were renowned hunters in Greek mythology.
