Much of Siberia is a vast region of northern Asia that is characterized by its TUNDRA and WASTE landscapes. The term 'TUNDRA' is derived from the Finnish word for 'treeless plain' and describes an area of land where the subsoil is permanently frozen. The term 'WASTE' refers to an area of land that is not suitable for human habitation due to its harsh climate and lack of resources. Together, these two words accurately describe much of Siberia's landscape.
