Movie Shark is a term used to refer to a film producer or investor who preys on inexperienced filmmakers by offering them money for their projects, but then taking control of the project and making it into something completely different. The most famous example of a Movie Shark is JAWS, a 1975 American thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg. The film follows a police chief, a marine scientist, and an old seafarer as they hunt a great white shark that has been terrorizing a beach community.
