Movie director Spike LEE is an American film director, producer, writer, and actor. He is best known for his films that explore race relations, colorism, and urban crime and poverty. He has directed and produced over 35 films since 1983, including Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X, Inside Man, and BlacKkKlansman. He is also the founder of 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, a production company that has produced over 35 films since 1983. LEE has won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for BlacKkKlansman in 2019.
