The Mount Rushmore Sculptor was Gutzon Borglum, a Danish-American artist and sculptor. He was commissioned to create the iconic monument in 1927 and worked on it until his death in 1941. Borglum was known for his large-scale sculptures, including the Confederate Memorial Carving at Stone Mountain, Georgia.
