Ennio Morricone is an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and former trumpet player. He is best known for his work in film scores, particularly for his collaborations with director Sergio Leone on the 'Spaghetti Westerns' of the 1960s. Morricone has composed over 500 scores for cinema and television, as well as over 100 classical works. He has won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Hateful Eight in 2016.
