The term MOOSE RELATIVE refers to three different animals: DEER (4 letters), WAPITI (6 letters), and ELK (3 letters). DEER are the smallest of the three, and are found in many parts of the world. WAPITI, also known as American ELK, are native to North America and are the second largest species of DEER. ELK, or European ELK, are the largest species of DEER and are native to Europe and Asia. All three animals are related to the moose, and are members of the Cervidae family.
