A Monastery Man is a person who works in a monastery, which is a religious community of people living together and following a set of rules. The four job titles associated with a Monastery Man are PRIOR, FRIAR, ABBOT, and MONK. A PRIOR is the head of a monastery or convent and is responsible for the day-to-day operations. A FRIAR is a member of a mendicant religious order, such as the Franciscans or Dominicans, who lives a life of poverty and service. An ABBOT is the head of an abbey or monastery and is responsible for the spiritual guidance of the members. Finally, a MONK is a member of a religious order who lives a life of prayer and contemplation.
