A molecule unit is a term used to describe the smallest particle of a substance that can exist independently and still retain the chemical properties of that substance. An ATOM is the basic unit of a molecule, and is composed of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Atoms are the building blocks of molecules, and when they combine, they form molecules. Molecules are the fundamental units of all matter in the universe.
