The Missouri Tribe is composed of three distinct groups: the Osage, the Osages, and the ARIKARA. The Osage are a Native American tribe originally from the Ohio Valley region who now live primarily in Oklahoma. The Osages are a subgroup of the Osage Nation, and they are located in Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas. The ARIKARA are a Plains Indian tribe who traditionally lived in present-day North Dakota. All three of these tribes are federally recognized and have a long history of living in the Missouri River Valley.
