Minneapolis and Saint Paul are two CITIES located in the state of Minnesota. They are commonly referred to as the Twin CITIES, due to their close proximity to each other. Minneapolis is the larger of the two CITIES, with a population of over 425, 000 people, while Saint Paul has a population of over 300, 000 people. Together, they form the core of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area, which is home to over 3 million people.
