A Military Corpsman is a medical specialist in the United States Armed Forces. They provide medical care to service members and their families, as well as to civilians in some cases. They are trained in emergency medical treatment, preventive medicine, public health, and laboratory procedures. They are also responsible for providing medical support during combat operations. The term 'MEDIC' is often used to refer to a Military Corpsman.
