Migratory seabirds are birds that travel long distances over open water, often between breeding and wintering grounds. Two examples of migratory seabirds are petrels and terns. Petrels are medium-sized seabirds with long wings and webbed feet, while terns are smaller seabirds with long, pointed wings and a forked tail. Both species migrate annually to warmer climates in the winter and return to their breeding grounds in the summer.
